This is a nice quality deeply brilliant cut glass 8 inch diameter round bowl with a simple and plain 800 silver rim made by H. Meyen & Co from Berlin, Germany which was in business from 1846 - 1950. The bowl and rim are in nice vintage condition with minor nicks and flakes which blend in because there is so much pattern. I have not polished the rim but it should polish easily and I will do it f...

This is a lovely 6" diameter small round bowl with brilliant cut glass with deep grooves separating the lovely cut design. The heavy fine quality silver covered rim has an appealing art nouveau design repeating along the entire rim. This bowl has some wear on the bottom but is in otherwise good condition. The silver rim has hallmarks which I cannot read. Thank you for visiting The Moody Carpent...

This is the most finely carved ornate large mirror I have ever had. The carving above the mirror measures 22 inches high and is so intricately done that some elements are raised very 3D, it slants out from the wall about 6 inches adding depth. There is a sweet garland of flowers below the mirror and wonderful carved feet and decorative splays of flower groups including bell flowers down each si...

This is a classic style Chinese Export covered jar/box with alternating panels of a scene on steps and a botanical and symbolic collage and would be perfect for holding tea, ginger or many other small items or just as a shelf decoration. It is marked on the bottom but I think it is a faux stamp to make the piece seem older than it is. The top is slightly domed, the height to the very top is 6 1...

Bring your vision to one of Buchanan's most charming streets. Set on a generous half-acre lot with mountain views, this 1937 brick Cape Cod is ready for its next chapter. Rich with the kind of character that's difficult to recreate, the home features a welcoming covered front porch, an enclosed back porch, and a spacious deck overlooking the backyard. Inside, there's plenty of room to restore a...

This is a gorgeous folding tray table crafted from rosewood with wonderful inlayed brass and copper floral and leaf coordinating patterns on opposite corners and lovely delicate scroll designs along the raised sides of the tray and on the handles. The handles are beautifully carved and the tray is conveniently cut out where the handles are located. The finish on the table is still in good condi...

It is hard to find a matching pair of antique gateleg tables and this diminutive set is delicate and so precious! They have elegant spider legs with tiny pad feet and the mahogany tops have wonderful color and grain. The gatelegs on each table work well and hold the leaves up securely. These are delicate tables and have a slight wiggle but as long as they are not used for anything overly heavy ...

This is a very sweet mirror that is the perfect size and style to fit almost anywhere. It has been redone in a simple yet pleasing off white background and gold accents and would enhance a bathroom, bedroom, hallway, you name it! The molding at the top of the mirror is 31.5 inches wide but the body of the frame is 29.5 inches wide and the frame is 49 inches tall. The mirror itself is 35" high b...

This is a bright and festive array of summer fruits and a couple of vegetables with a realistic appearance and a polished shiny finish carved from onyx in Mexico. They would be a fantastic addition to any decorative style used for example on a sideboard, in a cupboard or the center of a table. There is a visible chip in the melon slice and other small chips and signs of age and use. There are 1...

This is a clear glass bowl that is decorated in silver with alternating images of a laurel wreath with a long bow, symbolizing triumph and an ornate image of a pair of griffins each with one paw on a large urn symbolizing guardianship. The intricate images are set between lovely bands of art nouveau style repeating patterns on the fine quality glass which has cut ribs on the bottom portion. The...

This is a fabulous piece for a rustic country decor in a barn, shed or a primitive house. It has a fantastic carved shape with a D-handle and deep scoop. The original finish is mostly worn off and there are cracks in the blade of the scoop but it all adds to the used shabby appeal and would probably still be usable. The shovel is 34.5 inches all, 11 inches wide and 2 1/4 inches high. The scoop ...

This is a sweet Victorian period sterling silver frame with a pleasing repeating embossed pattern of swirls with stylized flowers and leaves mixed in. It is marked on the bottom with the English hallmarks; BM for Birmingham Mint, the anchor confirming Birmingham, the lion for sterling silver and h for 1901. There are dents and minor silver losses throughout but the busyness of the pattern makes...
